Who has a love-hate relationship with booze? I love how much fun it is and hate being hungover! Is there a way to make it a love-love relationship? Yes, there is! Bye-bye, hangovers!

Remember these three letters…DHM! Its actual name is dihydromyricetin, but I’ll never be able to pronounce or remember that! 😂

Before we go any further, I am not a doctor, and this is not medical advice. According to this study by USC scientists, DHM can help protect your liver and prevent hangovers.

After reading through the study, my husband and I were ready to try it. We bought it on Amazon, and they delivered a bottle to our doorstep the next day!

Does DHM prevent hangovers?

Back in my younger days, I could drink late into the night, go to bed at two or three in the morning, and wake up feeling just fine. Well, those days are long gone, and I can feel slightly hungover after having a couple of drinks and being in bed by 10 p.m. If I pushed harder than that, I gambled with getting the dreaded “I want to die” hangover. DHM helps my body pretend it’s young again.

Do I take DHM every time I drink?

Yes, I take DHM no matter how many drinks I consume. If it’s a weeknight and we have some wine with dinner, I take one or two DHM. In the morning, it feels like I didn’t drink anything the night before!

Even if I only have one drink, I figure I am still drinking alcohol, and according to the experts, DHM reduces damage to the liver and other organs.

Putting DHM to the test

The ultimate test is whether it works when I occasionally drink more than I should. This usually happens on girls’ weekends, wine-tasting trips, and at my book club meetings! My husband calls my book club a wine club, but we read books, so it’s a book club (a really fun one!).

DHM has worked great in all these situations, but you shouldn’t push it too far.

Does it 100% prevent hangovers?

Unfortunately, not for me. I’d say it works about 90%, which is still amazing. For my husband, it works closer to 100% of the time.

I don’t know why it doesn’t always work, but it most likely involves not drinking enough water or not eating a decent meal.

We love it!

To sum it all up, we love it, and now many of our friends take it too! I feel much better when using it and don’t drink without it.
